International Conference on Cloud Computing Technologies, Application and Management 2012

8th to 10th December 2012, Dubai, UAE

Conference Overview

The next big thing to happen for the software industry after the dot com boom, Cloud Computing is redefining the way we think about software and the way it is used. A very simple yet complex technology, Cloud Computing is constantly evolving to provide simpler and easy solutions to end consumers and even business enterprises. The basic idea behind the concept is to provide applications, software and a host of other services to the end user through a network. The proliferation in the cloud deployment has been made possible by the advances in virtualization technology, networking technology and storage technology. One of the major advantages of this model is that it allows customers and big companies the joy of hassle free computing and data management while keeping the costs low at the same time.

International Conference on Cloud Computing Technologies, Applications and Management 2012 is a coveted technically driven premier event which also provides a platform for academicians, researchers, practitioners and users to share and discuss the scope and challenges faces in cloud computing. Not only is ICCCTAM is one of the first international conferences on Cloud computing to be held in this region, it has received an overwhelming response from the students and researchers who would be presenting their papers with an estimated guest list of around 200 delegates expected to grace the event.

The conference focuses on, but is not limited to the following three thrust areas:

  • Technologies

This area will focus on the technologies being used. Topics include Cloud Architecture, Virtualization & Scalability and Cloud Security & Exploits.

  • Applications

This area will cover topics that leverage the Cloud to address contemporary problems. Topics include Crowd Sourcing, Bioinformatics and e-Governance.

  • Management

This area will include topics related to the overall management of a cloud service like Business Models, Data Security and Risk Management.

Industry Track will bring together the practitioners from the cloud computing industry both solution providers and solution seekers. They would show case their exhibits, experiences, challenges and success, enabling them to attract prospective customers seeking cloud computing solutions.

Students’ Poster Session is to recognize excellence in projects relating to cloud computing and applications.
